Follow me as I trade purely mechanical using a 'Plan before Product' trading style that Tom Sosnoff himself said that had he used this over his last 30 years of trading, he'd probably have 3X more money.

gaute: Got the chart loaded and saved the grid. thanks Feb 19, 2015 9:18:02 GMT -8
gaute: What other ETF's are good to use? Feb 19, 2015 9:18:27 GMT -8
@hawaiiantrader: High IV RankETF Scan and Watchlist http://tos.mx/EmkDas Feb 19, 2015 10:49:52 GMT -8
gaute: Thanks, after the IV rank goes above 50 what are the steps to take or charts to check to confirm the move before I enter the trade. Feb 20, 2015 6:55:20 GMT -8
gaute: Does it matter how long an ETF is above the 50% to enter. Example: as long as it is going up and not down. PS: great forum and support. Feb 20, 2015 6:57:47 GMT -8
@hawaiiantrader: nothing, once it goes above 50 you sell premium then yo want IV to drop a lot Feb 20, 2015 8:26:48 GMT -8
gaute: Got the watch list, thanks for the response... Feb 20, 2015 12:04:42 GMT -8
gaute: anyone use twitter to post their entries/exits. Feb 20, 2015 12:09:36 GMT -8
gaute: Sorry for all the questions but....Does it matter if the price is going down while the IV is going over 50 or price is going up as the IV is breaking 50+. Feb 20, 2015 12:20:35 GMT -8
hakkoryukami: yes it means that the IV will go down and that is what you expect once you sold premium Feb 20, 2015 13:18:54 GMT -8
gaute: I don't see much on when to do calls. Are they not recommended? Feb 21, 2015 7:33:20 GMT -8
frenchy: gaute don't do calls do this synthetic trade strategy instead: http://tastytrade.freeforums.net/threads/recent/170, it uses far less trade capital to participate in the same underlyings move and with less risk. Feb 22, 2015 17:36:42 GMT -8
frenchy: 60 percent less capital and the risk is less because the underlying can be flat without actually losing, you really only lose money if the stock drops in value. Buying a put if the stock is flat you would still lose money. Feb 22, 2015 17:40:03 GMT -8
frenchy: I meant buying a call not buying a put Feb 22, 2015 17:40:41 GMT -8
gaute: Frenchy, thanks for the response this last few weeks. Has helped me using this strategy. Feb 23, 2015 12:24:44 GMT -8
frenchy: Your welcome, I still like buying straddles on earnings the best though, even when they are initially losers, giving yourself at least a month of duration, they often turn into winners....... :) Feb 23, 2015 17:54:48 GMT -8
frenchy: GAWD, I love trading earnings.......the market can explode up or down and you are positioned to make money...Check out CRM.....Ka-----Ching!!!! $$$ Up 11 percent in after hours trading and their business is exploding and guess what? Feb 25, 2015 15:37:07 GMT -8
frenchy: I bought a straddle on CRM right before the closing bell........... :) Feb 25, 2015 15:39:01 GMT -8
frenchy: I bought the March 62.50 straddle for $5.55 and after the market opens up tomorrow morning and CRM opens at 11 percent higher than todays closing price I'll pocket $819 in profit for every contract I bought, that's 147 percent profit in one day :) Feb 25, 2015 16:37:46 GMT -8
frenchy: everyone holding the stock will pocket a cool 11 percent........LOL, yep.......think I'll stick with this earnings play strategy!!! Feb 25, 2015 16:39:15 GMT -8
